Is Motion Modern Technology Good or Bad

Good day everyone,panel of judges,accurate time keeper,co-debator and my fellow audience.My name is Emmanuel Nnamele and am here to oppose the motion which say that modern technology has done more harm than good.
Many people have it engraved in their mind that technology has done more harm than good for today’s society.Altough there may be plenty of evidence proving that opinion true there is also plenty of evidence proving that opinion true there is also plenty of evidence proving the opposite. Technology should be embraced because of inventions such as cellphone which can allow friend and families,and also emergency centres to stay in touch or connected with people near or far.MATTHEW LIEBERMAN state”that our need to connect is as fundamental as our need for food and water”.
Technology can also help contacting an emergency centre,it allows help in any time of need,i.e 911 for U.S or 112 for NIGERIA.
The national emergency number association took statistics that claimed “An estimated 120million emergency calls are made to 1-1-2 in Nigeria each year and in U.S 240million emergency call each year.In many areas,70% or more are from wireless devices”,With this information it’s safe to say that the cellphone was used for the advantage of getting help and successfully receiving it.When people breakdown on the side of the road, in a lonely area or get in to a car accident they go straight to where?No where but their cellphone and call the emergency centre.
Now let me go into cars and other travelling agents, without these humans wouldn’t be able to move from one geographical area to another.
With the aid of these modern technology starring at a computer screen you can blink up to 5 times less resulting dry eyes. Beacause of technology we have cured more disease,made our lives better and helped more people.
In conclusion,I hope have been able to draw you out of the dark and bring you into the light that modern technology has not in any way done harm to the society but rather has helped us in our day to day activities.
