How to Do Well in CBSE Exam

Education is like a lamp in a dark room. The mind of the student is full of ideas, dream’s. He has to think of one thing only his studies, his preparation for the coming struggle of life. If he utilised it properly, his life lays the foundation of future it’s success and achievements. If he misused it, defeat is sure.
Central Board Of Secondary Education. 
CBSE conducts all India secondary school exam in 10th and all India senior school certificate exams in 12th. The academic year begins in July and ends in March. The medium of instructions is English and Hindi. Passing marks is 33% in each subject. Assessment is done in the form of Unit/ Periodic test and annual. The subjects offered are English, Hindi , Science, Social Science, Maths, and any one optional subject for class 10th students. For class 12th  the streams are Science, Arts/ Humanities, or Commerce.  NCERT ( The National Council of Educational Research and Training ) books are preferred as best for doing CBSE Board preparations. There are lots of co curricular and extracurricular activities in the CBSE School. The CBSE curriculum helps students to prepare for the competitive entrance exams for Engineering, Medical , Banking others. The marks obtained in class 12  plays a major role in higher studies as well as to meet the criteria in the professional field. Students of class 12th are from different streams such as science, commerce, and arts.  The students who choose  PCM group has english, physics, chemistry, maths as the mandatory subjects including the optional subjects as per the choice of students. Physics, Chemistry remains the same for both groups. For the PCB group, students have the biology as a mandatory subject.
 Maths- Many people’s think that Maths is a hard subject but this is not true. While preparing for the maths subject students need to understand the basic concept of the questions and practice the more number of questions.
 Physics- It includes the numerical based problems more as well as the proving the theorems.
 Chemistry- It includes the questions more on the basis of chemical equations and the element properties. Give more focus on these types of questions.
 Biology- Biology is the subject which is more theoretical. Keep this in mind that most of the questions come from reproductive system topic followed by others. With every topic, you need to prepare the diagrams. Diagram based questions consist of more weightage.
 English- It includes the grammar, writing as well as the literature part. For grammar and writing part understand the format and rules very well. For the literature part, study all the chapters and understand it’s meaning. Learn the authors/poet name of each chapter as these are asked sometimes in exam.
How to prepare for CBSE EXAMINATIONS:
1. Study in a good environment:
While studying it is necessary that you are studying in which type of environment. Don’t study in an environment of chaos and high volume sounds. Try to locate an environment when there are fewer distractions around you.
2.  Planning and discipline:
Select a time to study when you can concentrate the best habit of studying at the time. Be punctual at your timing of study and don’t make delays. All that you need is consistency and hard work only throughout the year.
3. Accept every subject as it comes:
Don’t make subject as favourite or non-favourite subject and easy or difficult subject thus, paying more attention on the favourite type subject  and leaving the non-favourite subject for reasons of lack of interest. Studying each and every subject is necessary to pass, a student must treat all subjects important and give them equal time.
4. Knowledge of the syllabus:
You must be  aware of the complete syllabus of CBSE Class 12 before you commence your Class 12 board exam preparation. If you find any topic difficult focus on that do not leave the concept unattended or keep it for last moment. Know the weight-age of each subject and proceed. Do not waste your time and efforts over topics that are unlikely to be asked.
5. Be interested:
You can not concentrate on studies if you are not interested in what you are reading or what you are being taught by your teacher. Solve as many questions as you could.
6. Prefer early morning studies:
Some students prefer the morning time, others afternoon and some prefer night for study. Many students has a habit of studying late night. Don’t do this as your brain also  needs rest and if you don’t sleep and study in night you will get annoyed fast. Morning is the best time for study. Sleep as soon as possible and wake up in early morning.
7. Prepare a proper time table / schedule:
Make a time table for regular studies covering all the subjects. Don’t make a difficult schedule to follow. Do not study at a stretch, take a few intervals in between. Divide your time for every activity. The time table should be divided in a manner that your maximum time is devoted to studies instead of wasting it here and there. Allot proper time for your sleep. Divide your time equally for each and every subject. Do not spend too much time on focusing on a particular subject and don’t ignore another one.
8. Study smartly:
Smartly here doesn’t mean that you skip some topics. Here it refers to your efficiency. Do not waste your entire day in solving a single difficult question. There will also come a moment when you feel stuck with some questions or a single question. If you get stuck in some question, leave that question a try to solve next one. Increase your study hour gradually. Never count number of hours while studying.
9. Make notes: 
Ensure that you make notes of what you learnt. They can be taken either while attending the class  sessions or while reading books. This will help you to recollect important points just before the examination. Notes are the condensed form of the matter studied and can be used to read, understand and revise.
 
10.  Do not grasp too many things at a time:
Your target should be to cover a particular topics of a subject in one day. Do not try to overlearn a particular subject/topic, as this will lead to confusion. Focus on concept instead of quantum of study. You can select one or two topics from 2-3 subjects everyday and study them thoroughly. You must study more or give more attention to the tropics in which you feel you are not up to the marks or which your teachers recommend you to study more.
11. Practice previous year question papers:
Practicing previous/model test papers in real time situations not only makes you familiar with the paper pattern, but also makes you confident. You will get to know about different ways in which questions can be asked and also raise doubts which you could not have come across while studying that chapter/topic. By solving out the previous year papers you also get an idea of how well you are prepared and at what point you need to work hard. So solve Previous 10 years question papers. You can also purchase some book’s like 100% success, Exam idea etc.
 
12. Do your SWOT analysis:
 Find that which subject or topic is your strength and clear the concept. Find in which subject you are weak in and try doing it often, do not leave it unattended. Find the topics whose weight-age is more and make it an opportunity to score. Find the topics which are difficult and make sure you work on it and practice it more often. This analysis will help you plan your studies and pick topics accordingly.
13. Maintain fitness:
You should also give time for meditation and exercises to keep yourself fit. Meditation helps in improving your concentration. A fit and healthy lifestyle helps you feel positive and gives you more energy. It also helps in making a strong concentrating power. Even 10 minutes of fitness activity reduces stress by relaxing tensed muscles.
14. Always feel positive:
Believe in yourself and prepare well. It will take you through the door of success and make you feel full of self-confidence. Never create a phobia of exams. The most important thing, do not worry about your results. Give your best and move ahead. Throw away the exam fear and just relax. Fear & stress will only hamper your preparations and ultimately affect your performance in board exams.
