The above statement has quite a few words to be understood, which will require some questions to be answered. What is a dream job? How do we find our ‘right’ hobby? And how do we induce that hobby into our dream job? We will deal further with these questions in this essay.

When identifying our hobby, there comes the most crucial part of questions we must ask ourselves when making any decision in career, such as “Will I be delighted in doing my hobby every day for the rest of my life?”, “Am I good enough in my chosen hobby to make my career out of it?”. To understand these questions we have to start from the basics like what is a hobby? A hobby is any activity which is done for the sake of the betterment of ourselves and not others, which gives us enthusiasm and may give us a purpose to live. It can also be taken for relaxation or self-peace. There is no specific course of action by which a hobby can be identified. Anything in which you are good at or even if you like to do any activity in your free time and most importantly, which gives you happiness can be termed as a hobby. And a right hobby can be identified or guessed just by analyzing and studying oneself. An activity which one does often and wants to improve by practicing it day by day can be called as an ideal hobby! Everyone has a hobby whether it be an indoor activity like sewing, stamp collecting, painting or an outdoor venture like hiking, public speaking, hunting, sports, etc.

After we have identified our hobby we have to know what a dream job is. Whenever we talk or even think of our future, the first thing that hits our mind is will I succeed or not, i.e. will I get the job I want, will I have a future I wish to have. Likewise, a dream job is achieving that job, that position, that goal which one dream of. Everyone dreams of how their future should/must be, not at some point but at most points of our life. The sense of happiness which we get when we achieve the job even compensates for all the hard work done towards achieving it. In a nutshell, any future or career which gives a person ecstasy and satisfaction is their dream job.

And now, here comes the last part for us to un-puzzle our last question to ask ourselves. How do we induce that hobby into our dream job? But before answering this, the question itself hits us with more questions such as, “Can we live a happy life even without having a hobby turned into a flawless dream job and get?” To get an answer to this, we first need to understand the meaning of a flawless future and the necessity for it in one’s life. A flawless future means a perfect future, without any issues for us to bother, but here on earth, according to me, no one has a ‘perfect’ life and a career. Even if we have all the riches of the world, it is not necessary for us to have a perfect and happy life. So from now on, we will replace ‘flawless with ‘satisfaction’. Coming back to our point, I believe, there is no special way or method to incorporate these terms, we just have to keep going in practicing our hobby and making it better day by day, and we will already have one or the other path open for us. And even if we do not have a strong hobby to be fully reliable on, there can be a satisfactory future without a hobby, but with happiness. You can even discover your hobby at times you never expected of, like maybe after getting a job! So, in between our never-ending works, and our sprinting life, we need to remember to explore, to blossom, and after all to be grateful.

To understand the above paragraphs more clearly, we will take an example of any hobby. Suppose Yoga; yoga can be a pleasant hobby. It is one of the oldest physical disciplines practiced in the world. It can also be a good career option, how? Thanks to the rapid industrialization of the world where emotion and physical well-being are given a good amount of value. Yoga connects our emotions and our physical fitness. It also calms an individual’s mind, body, and soul to give us relaxation, mental reality, inner peace, and concentration towards our work. So, how can yoga be a career opportunity? We will not directly jump into a career; instead, we will mix our hobby [here yoga] with a ‘second source of income’ like part-time jobs. After this, we will first start by giving free lessons of yoga and gradually we will introduce fees. We can also give online yoga classes and organize workshops for students learning yoga in order to create awareness for yoga among people and also to gain popularity for our classes. Once we have got stable with our yoga classes emotionally and financially, then we have many options like we can start our own yoga company for trainers, yogis and athlete selling products [like shorts, yoga mat, dumbbells] and creating awareness about fitness among people. We can even get a bachelor’s degree in yoga and then apply for posts like yoga instructor/ manager/ advisor or even a yoga therapist. The other way can be that, we can travel around the world and teach yoga to different people of different nationalities.

In conclusion, I would like to say that each and every one of us has a skill and we should use that god-gifted skill. Just like yoga, there are many other hobbies which can turn out to be a good career option for instance; photography, writing and web designing are a good career option. However, it is not necessary for everyone to use their hobby to get their respected dream job. I am leaving you with a last question to think by yourself, is it necessary for everyone to dream about a job and work for that dream job only?

In correspondence to this article, I would suggest some books that people searching for their passion and identifying their dream job must go and check out: ‘Inner Work’ by Robert A. Johnson, ‘Man and His Symbols’ by Carl Jung and my absolute favorite ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho.
